Echo & Drake
is an emerging indie/alt rock band that has
received widespread praise from New England
radio and press. This slick quartet
continues to craft memorable indie-pop
numbers, combining reverb-laden guitars with
infectious vocal melodies and eminently
danceable backbeats. Think Bends-era
Radiohead meets early U2 with a tasteful
pinch of folk for good measure.
“Although this Connecticut band has yet to
strike a major label deal, the sound of
their independent debut is quite polished…
strong arrangements, soaring melodies and
intelligent lyrics are sure to appeal to
fans of Keane, Morrissey, early U2, Coldplay,
Crowded House and Tommy Keene. Clearly a
band to look out for...”

Poor
Pluto is a 6 piece original rock band
hailing out of the Hartford, CT area. Their
dynamic sound is influenced by everything
while producing music that is uniquely their
own.
Mixing elegant violin melodies, horns,
driving rhythms, spacious piano and guitar
work, touches of electronica, and lyrics
about the ups and downs of life that are
simple but make the listener think.
The music is sonically intense yet
organically mellow all at once.
Poor Pluto is expected to release their first
full-length album "the
half light"
in early 2010 with Sling Slang Records.
The Quiet Room Band is comprised of four
talented teenagers(16 yrs old) from Griswold
CT. Their energetic music music will have
you pumping your fists in the air and
singing their catchy choruses. They are an
upbeat indie rock band with a fresh unique
sound.
They got their start in the Fall 2006
jamming' out to their original influence Hot
Rod Circuit. Lead guitarist Cameron Shaen
will blow you away with his powerful solos,
George Rudderman bass/lead vocals writes
majority of the songs and his humor on stage
will have you laughing, Nick Bellaro rhythm
guitar is the eye candy, and Luke Roberge on
drums- his shirtless performances will have
your head moving to his beats.
The band just won a battle of the bands
competition at the Webster Underground
theater in Hartford
and competing against
many older more established bands.
Call 2
Consciousness (C2C) is an upcoming band from the east coast
with plans to make it big. Comprised of four members
-Darrell Porter (vocals, guitar), Rich Stone (Drums), Daniel
Cuadras (guitar), and Keith Malloy (bass)- C2C has been
focused on writing and making music since the begining. The
band was formed in 2007 by then college roommates Darrell
and Rich. Armed with little more than a guitar and drum kit,
they would rock out in their dorm room, writing and
recording songs. Word soon spread about what was going on,
and friends back home started hearing what Darrell and Rich
were creating. Enter Dan and Keith. Dan had been longtime
friends with Rich, and Keith longtime friends with Darrell.
Once they heard about the band they wanted in. After several
jam sessions each band member had found their place and C2C
was on its way.
Since their start C2C have written over a dozen original
songs, and also take pride in how they can make
a cover song their own. They have an energetic, and exciting
sound that makes sure to grab on to those who listen, and
their music is only complimented by they outstanding live
show. C2C is a band on the rise, and a force in todays music
scene.
Sinan Bakir is one of the most unique and
exciting young jazz guitarists in the scene
today. The sound that Sinan is striving for
described often as fresh, clean and lively
yet intense and full with emotion. Sinan
Bakir is hailed not only as a virtuoso
player, but also a masterful composer. His
album "On My Way" with Thomson Kneeland and
Mark Ferber is described by Richard Kamins
of Hartford Courant as a solid debut."
It's easy to put this music on and just let
it play. One can hear the influences of
Holdsworth, John Scofield and Bill Frisell
but Bakir is no imitator. The voice of the
guitar one hears on the opening cut never
wavers or falters throughout." Dan Barry of
Hartford Advocate describes Sinan's playin'
as quietly elaborate, informed by a good
sense of when to crescendo and when to lean
back and let it rip.
Dither Schmidth of Radio Resita tells that
the album transforms a common day into a
perfect day
and calls it magical.
Desiree is a true artist, who’s musical
abilities are parallel by her technical
abilities and video making skills. When she
is not writing songs or rocking out on
stage, she is an honor student high school
where she does a great job of being a normal
teenage girl. Desiree loves to play on the
farm where she lives in rural New England
with her sister Jessica, who is also her
back up singer and her brother Justin.
The music never stops for her. She
enjoys teaching guitar on Sundays to local
kids, takes vocal lessons during the
week, private guitar lessons with a former
Dickey Betts Band member and plays out live
when ever she can . Desiree loves doing what
she does; performing and entertaining.
She has a very strong desire to share her
gift with the world.
The
Burning Natives are a four piece band with
elements of rock, funk,
ska and punk in
their music.
The bands members are from West Hartford, Bloomfield, Windsor and New
Britain but all four members attend the same
high school and cycled through numerous
bands before forming the Burning Natives
over a year and a half ago.
Their upbeat funky songs and high energy
will catch you in and have you grooving for
sure.
Broken Glow is a new
original band hailing from Hartford,
Connecticut. The band was formed when Jon
and Brenner began writing songs together.
Filling in the rest of the member followed.
Broken Glow has just this year begun to
start it's journey into the New England
music scene, already playing all over
Connecticut and parts of New York.
Plans to hit the scene hard this summer,
Broken Glow is currently writing and gearing
up for an awesome season.
Born out of
Central Connecticut, the band is comprised
of Tim, Dan, Eric, and Jonah. Together, they
output an original and innovative
alternative rock sound with the ability to
reach across all genres and cultures.
Unlike the focus of many musicians today, it
is the powerful message, purpose, and
selfless mission of torndown that is
ultimately at the heart of this band. “The
foundation of our music stems from our
faith”, they share, “we aim to help spread
the Word of God through music, reaching
people where they are in life, affecting
change, and relating to the struggles we all
go through.”
The relationships between the band members
began forming in elementary school, but it
wasn’t until 2007 that the band began to
form, and by early 2009 the current lineup
was solidified.
Dedicated to reaching the lost, hurt, and
broken in this world,
Torndown will press on despite what
obstacles may stand in the way.”
StraddleDaddy,
the Middletown, CT-based funk rock band,
is quickly
gaining a name for itself with a unique and
energized sound and stage show.
The
bands six members, coming from a diverse set of
musical influences,
each bring a different and
varied voice to the table,
evident in the bands
self-produced debut album Surveys from a Fishbowl.

New York City at the infamous Euphoria Studio.

Fest 2009 performing her original power pop metal music. Now at age 16 she is currently recording her debut album and a tour

She has that spark about her that stars possess. -MarProg Festival review

The CT band Mad Orchid began in the ever-creative
mind of singer/song writer, guitarist
and skillful drummer Michael Ostuni.
With a ton of multi instrumental talent Michael
departed from his position as drummer
for a signed
act to pursue his passion for song writing and recording. Michael soon
compiled a list of approximately 40 songs he had
written.
He then chose 8 songs to put on his solo CD which he
wrote, performed, produced, engineered and mixed.
Mad Orchid drew the attention of former band mate
and bassist Kyle Berardinelli.
Kyle immediately wanted in on the project offering
his collaborative bass skills and
backup vocals. Soon after, well-known drummer Tony
Dilonardo who previously played for
The Given (now disbanded) gets word that Michael
Ostuni is interested in auditioning him.
